1. What inspired you to start your entrepreneurial journey, and how did you identify the niche for your business?
My entrepreneurial journey was driven by my passion for fashion and technology. I noticed a significant gap in the market where personalized styling and digital convenience could come together to enhance the shopping experience. DigiCloset was born out of the idea of making fashion more accessible, sustainable, and customized for every individual. The rise of digital commerce and the evolving consumer preference for curated shopping experiences reaffirmed my belief that this was the right niche to explore.
2. How do you define success, and what has been your most significant achievement so far?
For me, success is about creating a meaningful impact—whether it’s through empowering consumers with better choices, driving innovation, or promoting sustainability. My attempt is to build DigiCloset into a trusted platform that blends technology with consumer experience and circularity.
3. What are some of the biggest lessons you’ve learned in your entrepreneurial journey that you wish you knew earlier?
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is the importance of innovation & adaptability. The market is constantly evolving, and being open to change is key to staying relevant. Further , building strong relationships are just as crucial as the business model itself.
4. As a woman entrepreneur, what are the unique challenges you have faced, and how did you overcome them?
As a woman entrepreneur in the fast-paced and competitive fashion technology industry, I have encountered unique challenges, particularly skepticism on building and scaling a business in this space. Additionally, balancing societal expectations with the demands of entrepreneurship posed a significant hurdle. However, I navigated these challenges by maintaining unwavering focus, continuously upskilling to stay ahead of industry trends, and surrounding myself with a strong network of mentors and like-minded professionals who believed in my vision. Their guidance and support, combined with my perseverance and strategic decision-making, have been instrumental in my journey.
5. What advice would you give to aspiring women entrepreneurs looking to break into the business world?
My advice would be to believe in yourself and your vision, even when faced with doubt. Take calculated risks, seek mentorship, and never hesitate to ask for help. The business world can be challenging, but persistence and resilience will always set you apart. Most importantly, don’t be afraid to carve your own path—success doesn’t have a predefined formula.
6. How do you manage the demands of entrepreneurship while maintaining a work-life balance?
Finding balance is an ongoing process, but I’ve learned that setting boundaries is essential. Prioritizing tasks, delegating responsibilities, and making time for personal well-being help me stay productive without burning out. I also make it a point to disconnect from work and spend quality time with family, pets and friends, as this recharges me and enhances my creativity.
